Richard Baris Exposes Media Polls: “You’re Full of It”
Over the weekend, the top independent pollster in the country, Richard Baris, called out media pollsters—specifically taking aim at Nate Cohn—for what he described as dishonest and misleading polling.
Baris began polling Trump’s approval rating over the weekend, and based on the results so far, he’s already suggesting that the media pollsters—particularly Cohn—are not being truthful.
“Nate, why do you lie?
Does the NYT pay you to lie?
Even after 700 responses, we could still see you were full of shit.”
That was one of several cryptic tweets Baris sent out over the weekend, clearly referencing the disparity between his own polling and what the media has been reporting.
Baris has long argued that you can’t trust pollsters who fail to accurately gauge elections to then accurately measure Trump’s approval rating. The fact that, early in his polling, Baris is already confident that the media numbers are wrong is telling.

Baris has an excellent track record, correctly calling the 2016, 2020, and 2024 presidential election. So his haters can dismiss them at their own peril.
