Bill Maher Torches Trump Conviction
Bill Maher torched Donald Trump’s New York hush money conviction last night on his show Real Time with Bill
Maher:
“If I read one more time, 34 [felony counts]. Thirty-four—it’s because the thing he was convicted for—why he’s a ‘convicted felon’—is because of the Stormy Daniels case. And he wrote 34 different checks. So, like, they [the American people] can see through this bullsh*t.”
While it’s good to see Maher acknowledge the absurdity of the hush money conviction, it should be remembered that he cheered on the other three criminal cases against Trump and supported the BS Mueller investigation.
The only reason he was—and has been—critical of the hush money case is because it was the weakest and the most likely to actually help Trump win, which arguably did happen.
So while we appreciate Maher acknowledging that the case was BS, let’s not pretend he wasn’t all-in on the anti-Trump lawfare—because he was.
